Online Comics mumblings
Aug. 31st, 2011 09:30 pmAHHHH. Is it sad that I'm super glad Annie isn't into Jack because then it would RUIN MY KAT/ANNIE HEADCANNON???
I think I am overly invested in this comic.
Also, this whole month-long party thing has been really plotless. I don't understand why they snuck out!
Shelly and Byron are MY FAVORITE EVER.
"Do you mean like, 'naked child, who cares' or a 'naked, probably eighteen soon, this rules' kind of thing?"
"You know I don't like it when they call us pariahs."
I wish I liked this comic more. I think that what I don't like about it is that, unlike Gunnerkrigg, there is nothing there. All of the character development/plot/etc. is done not in the comic. It's done on messageboards and Deviant Art, as far as I can tell. It's done in fan chats and other things that I don't really care to track down.
Gunnerkrigg is so plotty and meaty and even though there are extras if you go to look at the messageboards, they aren't necessary to understand the comic. With Teahouse I feel like everyone else knows more about it than I do, because I don't really care enough to regularly check messageboards and such.
