[personal profile] azewewish questioned, I answered! If you would like 5 questions, feel free to hit me with a "hit me baby, one more time" and I will ask.

1) What's the first book you remember reading that really affected how you view the world & your place in it?

I read a lot as a kid, and doubtless every single one of those affected who I am - the way that all kids over identify with one of the Pevensies. But the first book that I finished and felt completely wrung out, like I'd been skewered was Franny and Zooey. It's not the Salinger that anyone reads, but I loved it, because it was all about love and complicated family dynamics and thinking you're So Cool and realizing that not only are you not All That, but you're always going to feel like someone else is better.

Augh. I still get these weird sticky-inside feelings just thinking about the book.

2) Tell me something you love about living on the left coast.

In 'n Out. The 101 freeway. You can drive up the 101 and you're driving coast almost the whole time - and you see so much of California. There's this image of California as a continuous beach, where women are all in bikinis all the time. But for me, California is all that sage brush and oak trees and the rough waters that are a lot browner and greener than TV will make you believe.

California is rolling the window down and singing along with the radio, because if you're on the 101, eventually you're bound to get somewhere.

3) Your favorite fictional heroine of all time, comics, movies, TV, opera, etc, doesn't matter. Who's number one on the list?

Um. HARD. WHY SO HARD.

Sarah Connor? MAYBE? I also love Catwoman and Jean Grey and Cordelia Chase and Zoe Washburn and Amy Pond and Martha Jones and SO MANY OTHERS.

4) What's your most prized personal possession?

A photo album of my family.

5) Your passport's about to expire & you can never get it renewed. Where do you go for your last trip abroad?

Hahaha, since I only have 1 stamp in my passport, I choose the EU.
