Captain America FTW

katewritesSomeone, somewhere tell me that there's Bucky fic. And a whole Agent Carter backstory where she's awesome and fierce and fights and claws her way to the point where she's second in command of an army division.
Also,
I loved the nostalgic feel of this movie, how it showed where superheroes came from in the '30s. The patriotism and the help-others and the superman origins.
On the other hand there was this hilarious dichotomy of Captain America saying that he doesn't love bullies, when some would argue that that's what American foreign politics have become in recent years.
Even with that odd dichotomy of "I don't like bullies" and "I don't want to kill anyone, I want peace." It's hard not to like Steve Rogers (although I liked him more as the 98 lb weakling) and his cheerful attitude and his genuine likeability.
I also loved the side characters. Agent Carter and you can tell that she fought and clawed her way to her position, that she puts on her lipstick because no one will respect her without it, and no one respects her with it, so she'll wield the red lipstick like a weapon.
Howard Stark was super likeable and I adore that he's not the momentous figure that Tony sees him as. Plus, shout out to the Iron Man movies! And also, "Write that down."
