I… did not love it. It was confusing (and a lot less joyfully so than Moffat usually is).

I am always very ambivalent about the Doctor as a Stan Stu, but I hadn’t realized how much of one he was until we were introduced to a genuine Mary Sue (in the wild cannon!) in the form of Oswin Oswald. She can hack the Dalek’s technology! She can open doors faster than the Doctor! She can bring down the forcefield instantly!

I think a huge amount of my ambivalence was in that the Doctor did not do anything the whole episode. Ok, he made the teleport go backwards. But he didn’t try to open doors, hack Dalek tech or bring down the forcefield.

It was just… boring.

And also, please tell me what the Dalek’s meant by “save the Daleks.” Maybe something was cut from the script but I had no idea why the asylum was suddenly such an immediate threat.
