Apr. 28th, 2011 06:28 pmPart of my issue reading any the Social Network fic is that I don't think that Mark should be forgiven. In the movie he's played as something close to a sociopath - betraying friends and foes alike with no attempt at genuine amends.
I guess that I empathized more with Eduardo (as you are supposed to do), but the movie was written like Sports Night - we were supposed to like Casey and dislike Dan, when everything that made Dan not Casey was what made us love him.
In other words, I'm reading a great Doctor Who/TSN crossover, except that I want Eduardo to stay with the Doctor forever and tell Mark to fuck off. And maybe get together with Jack or Martha or Donna or Amy'n'Rory. Or, in fact, anyone not Mark.
